Description
UAF42 Universal Active Filter Module High Low Pass Band Pass Filtering Tunable Active Band Pass Filter Module
Product Description
UAF42 is a universal active filter that can be configured for various low-pass, high-pass, and band-pass filters. It uses a
classic state-variable analog architecture with an inverting amplifier and two integrators. The integrator includes an on-chip 1000pF capacitor trimmed to 0.5%. Many filter types can be easily implemented, such as Butterworth, Bessel and Chebyshev. A fourth useless FET input operational amplifier (same as the other three) can be used to form additional stages, or for special filters such as band stop and inverse Chebyshev. Generally used in power system, sensor signal processing, transmitter and receiver, signal generator processing, etc.

Installation Instructions
Precautions for module use
(1) The module power supply is a positive and negative dual power supply, and the voltage cannot exceed positive and negative 18V. (2) Since the module is a high-precision device, in order to avoid unnecessary interference, it is recommended to use a linear power supply. (3) For the output signal, it is recommended to use the SMA to BNC line to input and output signals. Use an oscilloscope to observe the effect. Poor contact or poor quality wires may cause signal attenuation or excessive noise. (4) The filter measurement generally adopts the oscilloscope point frequency method. If possible, you can use a frequency sweeper or a vector network analyzer to test. Please add a DC block.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: There is no problem when the module first got the output. After adjusting the potentiometer, now there is no input signal, there will be output signal. How to get it? A: From the perspective of the phenomenon, it should be over-adjusted. The module is self-excited. You need to turn RF1 and RF2 clockwise a few more turns at the same time. The RQ potentiometer can be turned counterclockwise a few turns. Reduce the center frequency and Q value. Will be self-excited. Q: Can UAF42 adjust the bandpass from 20HZ to 20KHz? A: No, UAF42 can only be adjusted to a narrowband filter, such as 1K center frequency 100hz bandwidth, if a wideband filter is needed, we have a custom fourth-order filter to do it. Q: The input signal of the module is 1Vpp, the output signal is too large, and how to adjust the unevenness in the band 2 A: If you don't need to amplify, just use the channel 1 output. The gain can be controlled by the RG potentiometer. The unevenness in the band is generally that the Q value is too high. Adjust the Q value counterclockwise to reduce the in-band fluctuation.
