The OPA549 is a low cost, high voltage, high power op amp ideal for driving a wide range of loads. The regional laser trimming monolithic integrated circuit provides the accuracy of a low level signal and high output voltage and current. The OPA549 design is flexible enough to support single or dual power operation. The input common film range extends below the negative supply.

The power “resistance, 0PA549 indirectly senses the load. This allows it to be electrically adjusted from 0A to 10A through a resistor/potentiometer, or digitally through a voltage or electrical output digital-to-membrane converter (DAC). The Energy/Status (E/S) pin provides two functions. It can be monitored to determine if the device is thermally shut down, and can force a low disable auxiliary stage and effectively disconnect the load.
The 0PA549 is a power package for the 11-lead pin. Its copper label can be easily mounted on the heat sink due to its excellent heat recovery. Operation specified in the extended industrial temperature range, 40C to 85°C.
