This module uses ST's L298N as the main driving chip, which has the characteristics of strong driving ability, low heat generation and strong anti-interference ability. This module can use the built-in 78M05 to work through the drive power supply, but in order to avoid damage to the voltage regulator chip, when using a drive voltage greater than 12V, please use an external 5V logic power supply. This module uses large-capacity filter capacitors and freewheeling protection diodes to improve reliability
Precautions
1. When your drive voltage (the above picture is marked as 12V input, and the actual input range that can be connected is 7V-12V, you can enable the onboard 5V logic power supply. After using the onboard 5V power supply, the interface +5V power supply does not require input voltage, but 5V voltage can be drawn for external use. (This is a normal application!) 2. When the driving voltage is higher than 12V and less than or equal to 24V (the chip manual suggests that it can support 35V, but according to experience-general 298 conservative application: the voltage support to 24V is already great!), for example, it is necessary to drive the rated voltage to 18V Motor. First, the jumper cap of the onboard 5V output enable must be removed. Then connect a 5V voltage outside the 5V output port to power the internal logic circuit of the L298N. (This is an unconventional application of high voltage drive!) 3. 5V is enough:-A control signal with a level of 5V. When this signal input is valid and the power supply in the motor drive module is normal, the motor drive module outputs current. Otherwise, even if the power supply is normal, there will be no current on the motor.
