1, what is a logic analyzer
A logic analyzer is an instrument that analyzes the logical relationship of a digital system. Logic analyzer is a kind of bus analyzer in the data domain test instrument, which is based on the concept of bus (multi-line), and observes and tests the data stream on multiple data lines at the same time. The testing and analysis of digital systems is very effective.
A logic analyzer is an instrument that uses a clock to acquire and display digital signals from a test device. The most important function is timing determination.
2. What is the difference between a logic analyzer and a virtual oscilloscope?
The oscilloscope biases the measurement of the analog signal; the logic analyzer focuses on the analysis of the digital signal!
A logic analyzer is an instrument that uses a clock to drive a digital signal from a test device.
Since logic analyzers do not have many levels of levels like oscilloscopes, typically only two values (logic "1" and "0") are displayed. The logic analyzer compares the measured signal with the threshold voltage through ultra-high speed comparison, which is logic "1" above the threshold voltage and logic "0" below.
Overall, the oscilloscope is mainly used to observe the analog characteristics of the signal, such as edge time, voltage amplitude, and whether there is parasitic interference.
The logic analyzer mainly measures the digital circuit. Because of the inherent characteristics of the digital circuit, the logic analyzer does not measure the specific value of the voltage and some analog characteristics of the signal under test, but specifically measures the level of the signal.
