Installation Instructions
Coding and decoding
When encoding, keystrokes or digital information are converted into two tone signals and transmitted. When decoding, the presence of keystrokes or digital information is detected in the received DTMF signals. A DTMF signal is made up of two frequency audio signals. The frequency of these two audio signals comes from two sets of pre assigned frequency groups: line frequency group or column frequency group. Each pair of such audio signals uniquely represents a number or symbol. There are usually 16 buttons in the phone, including 10 numeric keys 0~9 and 6 function keys *, A, B, C, D. Due to the principle of combination, there should be 8 different single tone signals. Therefore, there are 8 kinds of frequency, which is called multi frequency, and because it uses 1 kinds of combinations from low and low frequency, it is also called "8 in 2". According to CCITT's recommendation, the international frequency is 697Hz, 770Hz, 852Hz, 941Hz, 1209Hz, 1336Hz, 1477Hz and 1633Hz 8 kinds. Using these 8 frequencies, 16 different combinations can be formed, representing 16 different numbers or function keys.
