The flexibility of the AD9959 can be used to correct imbalances caused by analog processing or PCB layout mismatch between signals. Since all channels share a common system clock, they are inherently synchronous and support multiple Synchronization of equipment. The AD9959 can perform up to 16 stages of frequency, phase, or amplitude modulation (FSK, PSK.ASK). Modulation can be performed by applying data to the mode pins. In addition, the AD9959 badly supports linear frequency, amplitude, or phase sweeps, making it ideal for applications such as radar and speaker instrumentation. The AD9959's serial/0 ports can support multiple configurations and provide great flexibility. Similar to the SPI operating modes provided by ADI's previous DDS products, the serial 1/0 port provides SPI-compatible operation. The four data pins (SDIO O/SDIO 1/SDIO 2/SDIO 3) correspond to the four programmable modes of Serial 10, providing flexibility. The AD9959 uses advanced DDS technology to provide high performance at low power consumption. This device integrates four high-speed 10 bit DACs with excellent wideband and narrowband SFDR performance. Each channel has a dedicated 32-bit frequency tuning word, 14-bit phase offset, and 10-bit output ratio eliminator.
The AD9959 can operate over the industrial temperature range of -40C to +85"C.
