Description

AD603 DA Input Voltage Controlled IF Amplifier With AGC Signal Measurement Linear dB Automatic Gain Control Amplifier

Parameter

Name AD603 Voltage Controllable Gain Cascaded AGC Module
Size 50mm X 50mm
Supply voltage range 12V

Highlights

Automatic gain control, an automatic control method that automatically adjusts the gain of the amplifier circuit with the signal strength. Circuits that implement this function are referred to as AGC rings. The AGC ring is a closed-loop electronic circuit and is a negative feedback system. It can be divided into two parts: a gain-controlled amplifier circuit and a control voltage forming circuit. The gain-controlled amplifier circuit is located in the forward amplification path and its gain varies with the control voltage. The basic components of the control voltage forming circuit are AGC detectors and low-pass smoothing filters, and sometimes include gate circuits and DC amplifiers.
The AD603 is a low noise, voltage controlled amplifier for radio frequency (RF) and intermediate frequency (IF) automatic gain control (AGC) systems. It provides accurate pin selectable gains from 11 dB to +31 dB at 90 MHz bandwidth, +9 dB to +51 dB at 9 MHz bandwidth, and any intermediate gain range with an external resistor . The input referred noise spectral density is only 1.3 nV/VHz, and the power consumption is 125 mw when using the recommended taxi 5V power supply.
